Service: The Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault
  Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.

Galen Paul, age 80 of Faribault, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.

Memorial services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Jan Bodin officiating.

A time of sharing and refreshments will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home Gathering Room after the service on Sunday.

Galen, the son of Cecil and Erma (Meyer) Paul, was born December 10, 1933 in Tyler, Minnesota. He graduated from Tyler High School and served in the U.S. Army. Galen married Karen Mobley on July 5, 1957 in Shenandoah, IA. He worked as a construction contractor with his Father, Cecil Paul in Tyler, and later worked as a lineman in Tyler. In 1968, Galen and Karen moved to Faribault and he owned and operated Country Boy Markets with his brother in law, Nile Stafford. He then started his own construction business with his sons, Galen Paul Home Builders. He loved spending time with his family, and he also enjoyed the beaches in Florida and Mexico, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Faribault; four children, Brian Paul of Merrifield, Gail (and Gary) Ball of Farmington, Jeffrey Paul of Waterville and David Paul of Faribault; ten grandchildren, Jenny, Justin and Kelly Paul, Angelia and Brice Ball, Danielle and James Jeffrey Paul, Joshua and Chelsea Paul; three great grandchildren, Dane Paul, Mercedez Brady, and Tosh Reck; and one brother in law, Nile Stafford of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Janet Stafford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are preferred to the American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
