LORENA KLOMPENHOWER

Services: Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault
  Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11 a.m.
   
Visitation: At church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
   

Lorena A. Klompenhower, age 82, of Faribault, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at The Lodge on Natchez, Elko.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Michael J. Nirva officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

A memorial visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Lorena Alma, the daughter of John and Martha (Westphal) DePoppe, was born on April 6, 1932 in Fillmore County. She married Leonard Klompenhower on October 5, 1951 in Preston. Lorena was a homemaker and also volunteered for many years at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard; two children, Douglas (and Beverly) of Maple Grove and Barbara (and Donald) Durst of Lakeville; three grandchildren, Aaron Hunter, Brandon Durst, and Jacob Durst; three siblings, Wendell (and Jane) DePoppe of Pittsburg, PA, Wayne (and Diane) DePoppe of Rochester, and Darlene DePoppe Bias of Alden; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Raymond, Harold, Donald and Merle DePoppe.

I had known Lorena for a short time and enjoyed her company at several lunch times at the senior center. She was a joy and is missed.
