ALVIN R. GOEDTEL

Alvin R. Goedtel, age 90, of Faribault, died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Samaritan Bethany, Rochester.

Memorial services will be at Samaritan Bethany, Rochester, on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Private services were held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault with interment at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

A memorial visitation will be at Samaritan Bethany for one half hour prior to the service.

Alvin Richard, the son of Rudolph and Hedwig (Bottke) Goedtel, was born on April 4, 1924 in North Morristown. He married Mary Ann Turek on August 14, 1949 in Owatonna. She preceded him in death on August 3, 1983. Alvin was employed at P & W Construction as a carpenter.

He is survived by his son, William (and Debra) Goedtel of Rochester, two grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Goedtel and Carissa (Aaron) Wiens of Rochester; three great grandchildren, Addison, Gracia and Chloe; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann Goedtel; brothers, Harvey and Laverne Goedtel.

Bill, Deb and family, I'm so sorry to hear about you Dad passing away and sorry I was not able to attend the service yesterday. I have some very good memories of us hunting and learning many things about the outdoors. My deepest sympathies to you and your entire family for your loss.
