Winonah "Nonie" Bauer

Service: The Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault

Winonah "Nonie" Bauer, age 85, of Faribault died on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at District One Hospital, Faribault.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault with the Reverend Ronald Wik officiating. Interment will take place in Hill Lake Cemetery, Hill City, MN.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.

Winonah Ida, the daughter of Arthur B. and Mabel L. (Foust) Foix was born on November 25, 1928 in Hill City, MN. She married Ervine C. Bauer on June 28, 1947 in Hill City and he preceded her in death on May 28, 2003. Winonah was employed at Mealey's Restaurant and Bakery, Randy's Frozen Meats, and Wood's Nursing Home, all of Faribault and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, solving puzzles in her word find books, and sewing quilt blocks for Bethel Lutheran Church, Faribault.

She is survived by her four children, Anna Mae Smith of Aurora, MN, Ronald E. Bauer of Medford, Charles R. Bauer of Faribault and Ella R. (and Arthur) Bice of Faribault; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Julene Landey of Hill City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervine; brother, Henry Foix; and brother-in-law, Archie Landey.
