Service: First English Lutheran Church- Faribault, Minnesota
  Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation: The Boldt Funeral Home - Faribault on Tuesday, May 6 from 3 to 7 p.m.
  and at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.

Jean Schwartz, age 86, of Faribault, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Keystone Communities, Faribault.

Funeral services will be at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Mark Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 and at the church for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Margaret Jean, the daughter of Leroy and Margaret (Peterson) Petersen, was born on July 19, 1927 in Hudson, WI. She married Ronald Schwartz on March 22, 1947 in St. Paul. Jean worked at 3M and State Capital Credit Union (Affinity Plus Credit Union). She enjoyed sewing, gardening, golfing, and traveling. Jean was very active at First English Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ron; five children, JoAnne Schwartz of San Francisco, Richard (Juliet) Schwartz of Faribault, William (Annette) Schwartz of Apple Valley, Timothy Bruce of Minneapolis, and Barbara (Matt) Sugrue of Cannon Falls; nine grandchildren, Herman Holland, Natalie Holland, Jacob (Michelle) Duncan, Mitchell (Donella Cleveland) Duncan, Evan Schwartz, Will Schwartz, Lily Schwartz, Wolfgang Bruce-Peralta, and Krisha Schwartz; two great grandchildren, Vito Duncan and Ellia Duncan; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Peralta; two sisters, Dorothy (Gus) Nelson of Hudson, WI and Audrey (Dean) Larson of Hudson, WI; one brother, David (Jane) Peterson of Kimberly, WI; and two sister-in-laws, Gladys Markow of Port Hueneme, CA and Eileen Zimmerman of Stillwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathleen Ray; and four brother-in-laws, Harold Markow, Dallas Zimmerman, Darrell Ray and William Schwartz.
