CAROL DIANE (WELCH) JOHNSON
Diane Johnson, age 74 of Brooklyn Center and formerly of Morristown went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Morristown.
Visitation will be held in Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4 to 6 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.Carol Diane, the daughter of Melvin and Catherine (Dunn) Welch was born on January 11, 1940 in Morristown. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1958; attended Mankato Business School and later moved to Minneapolis for employment. She married Stanley Johnson of St. Louis Park, and resided in Bloomington, where they raised two children. She is survived by one daughter, Sheila (and Marcos) Rodrigues of Eden Prairie; one son, Paul (and Betty) Johnson of St. James; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (and Bob) Lewis of Cannon City and Ruth Ann Burke of Hebron, IN; one sister in law, Louise Welch of West Concord; one brother in law, Pastor Dick Steinhaus of Greenville, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley; her parents, Melvin and Catherine Welch; three sisters, Helen Steinhaus, Alice and Marian Welch; and one brother, Richard Welch.

Diane was a blessing to our children and staff at Forest School. She gave her love and compassion to our children every day. She made a difference for our children and she will be missed. Aunt Diane was a wonderful aunt with fierce cheek-pinching abilities, delicious culinary skills, and a loving home to welcome everyone to. Many happy holidays were spent in her home and I will fondly remember those times. My sincerest condolences to my cousins, Sheila and Paul, and to the friends of, and all who will miss, DIane Johnson.
