William "Bill" Albert Hansen

William "Bill" Albert Hansen, age 82 of Faribault, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Spring interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

William A. was born January 2, 1932 in Rochester to Albert and Lillian (Neumeister) Hansen. He graduated from Faribault Senior High in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict. William worked at McQuay's of Faribault for 39 years. He loved searching for treasures with his metal detector; fishing; and playing lottery tickets.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; four children, Stephanie (and Curtis) Tonjum of Faribault, Gretchen (and Jerry) Rosemeyer of Blaine, Marcia Hansen of Kenyon, and Jeff (and Wendy) Hansen of Faribault; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Tonjum, Christopher (and Ashley) Tonjum, Amy (and Daniel) Hedberg, Kelly Rosemeyer, Samuel Nielsen, Sarah (and Matt) Valentyn, Ryan Hansen, and Benjamin Hansen; and 4 great grandchildren, Jordyn Hedberg, and Kaylyn, Gage, and Lauren Valentyn.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James O. Hansen.
