Harold S. Russell

Service: Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault
  Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation: The Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault
  Friday, January 17th from 4 to 7 p.m.

Harold S. Russell, age 60 of Faribault, died at home surrounded by family on Saturday, January 11, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Kevin Finnegan officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault with military rites provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Friday, January 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Also, visitation at church for one half hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Harold Stephen, the son of Donald and Mary (Marsh) Russell, was born May 31, 1953 in Portugal. He attended high school in Redwood City, CA. On July 21, 1973, he married Pam Russell in Redwood City and they later divorced. He served in the U.S. Air Force and for 20 years in the Army Reserve. Harold retired from Crown Cork and Seal after over 35 years. He enjoyed shooting pool, sports and time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (and Eric) Brandt of North St. Paul, Alison Russell of Owatonna, Melissa Russell of Faribault; the love of his life, Pam Russell of Faribault; three grandchildren, Triston Russell, Hailey Meyer and Emma Brandt; his father, Donald Russell of Faribault; six siblings, Joyce Brocke of Idaho, James Russell of Washington, Frank Russell of Washington, Bill Russell of Kentucky, Margaret Lum of California and Alli Lum of Hawaii and a step sister, Francine Schaffert of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (and Frank) Lum; grandchildren, Noah and Abigail Brandt and Justin Meyer and step brother, Joseph Lum.
