Memories

Only today did I hear of Norman's passing. I am Norman's first cousin. I heard about his death from my granddaughter who attended an event at the University of Minnesota today and Charlotte was a part of this Fraternity event - on the program it read in memory of Norman Wieseler. My granddaughter called to see I'd we were related. Norman was a cousin who was just six months older than me. My best memories of him was visiting his family in Rochester. He would sing with his brother in law. My uncle was so proud of their music.I always wanted to connect when we would go through Fairbault to visit our friends there. Now I only regret that I did not do it. I express my sympathy to Charlotte, his children and my cousins Babara Lou, Marilyn and Ronny. Ruth Larson in Marshall, Mn.

Memories

I am not sure if anyone is checking this anymore, but thank you for all of your kind thoughts, prayers and support for our family. Thank you for honoring my Dad. It is so great to hear or read stories about him! Helps keep those memories alive! One memory I have is when Dad would take me biking. I had a prime spot on the back of his bike in a fluorescent orange bike seat. Before we had all of those new housing developments by our old house we would bike through the weedy areas. Dad always made it fun for me and called it the Rough Territory...made it kind of an adventure. :) He was very loved and he will be missed immensely. Thank you everyone for all your love. Norm's daughter, Leah Wieseler

Memories

I met Norm at St. Mary's College in 1962. There were about 30 of us in Kelly Hall. We had a great time then and most of us continued in some kind of service work for our careers. I didn't keep contact with Norm and so many others, but I remember him well: playing the guitar, teaching in Austin for a year. God bless Duke and his family. I pray for you.

Memories

I met Duke 51 years ago. I was one of the fellows with the guys at St. Mary's and Kelly Hall. We did not know it then but over time in one way or another, many of us loved the time and energy we generated together and have such fine memories of. Norm, Wegman and I lived together in Mpls for a year or so in 1969 and 70. At the service yesterday I mentioned to someone that while we lived together we never slept together but then remembered that over Christmas holidays, likely in 1962 Norm, Wegman, me and Jerry Ahl drove Wegman's Cadallic hearse to Key West Florida. On the trip we had a flat tire that was repaired in Birmingham Alabama. In the back of the hearse we had styrofoam sheet and blankets as we took turns driving and sleeping. While the tire was being repaired a local fellow walked over the back open door of the vehicle. He noticed the bedding material and asked "Are you fellows using that for Immoral purposes". We were so young and dumb we did not know what he was talking about.

Memories

Please accept my deepest sympathies from an old college friend. There was a band of about thirty of us who entered Kelly Hall way back in the 60's. Not many of us completed that journey but most of us continued to serve others, as did Duke. I was from Owatonna and I remember the two W (Wegman and Weisler) from Rochester. What a combo. We haven't all kept in touch, which is a shame, but I think our special connection is everlasting. I wish you all peace and comfort. Sincerely, Paul Gasner

Memories

Dear Charlotte: Dick and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you on the loss of Norm. We remember back to the first time we met him...at your house a few years ago with Mum. We all went to the theater to see The Producers..do you recall that? We had a lovely dinner and lots of laughs. After that, because we live here in Florida, unfortunately the only other time we saw Norm was at Mum's farewell at Dee's house. We were so happy and surprised to hear you two had "taken the plunge" and married! It was plain to see how happy you both made each other. We know there are no words to say when a loved one is gone...but we want you to know that Dick and I are both thinking of you during this hard time, and I promise to do a better job at staying in touch with you. I haven't been to good at that.....and you were a great friend to Mum and a great comfort to me and Dee during her illness and passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Charlotte. Love, Chris and Dick
