Memories

Grandpa, we're going to miss you more than words can say...we love you more than words can say. I know you're at peace, and with your siblings, and other family and friends, having a great time. Joking and laughing, reminiscing, drinking your cup of coffee, and maybe having a powdered sugar donut or 2. I'm so glad my kids, some of your great grandkids, got to have you in their lives. Even though I know you're at peace, I'm having a hard time with awesome memories running through my head, trying hard not to break down, knowing now that that is all I have, now that you're gone. But, don't get me wrong, I've had my share of laughs thinking back on those times as well. I know you'll look down on us, and continue to be proud of all of us. Love forever, your Rin Tin

Memories

My Mom called me this evening telling me of this. I am including you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I knew Bill in the middle 1960's...when my dad and Bill worked for Rice County. My Mom and I are sure that Roy, Bill, and Arden are sitting at a round table over coffee talking STUFF! Bless you ALL! I know this a difficult time.

Memories

I knew Bill for a long , long time. He was one of my husband's favorite brother-in-laws. they enjoyed many things together. One was duck hunting. Of course, being men, they had to bring the booty home for their wives to cook. I recall a time probably forty years ago when we went to the Stransky house to visit on a sunday afternoon. Louise told us of her adventures cooking a wild duck!!!!!!! Wild ducks do not cook as easy as tame ducks. Anyway, suffice it to say, I asked her how preparing the duck had gone. To quote her, she said "I tried to roast the duck, but it was so tough, you couldn't get a fork in the gravy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like to think of Lyle and Bill sitting by the table in (dare we hope) heaven with a cup of coffee and discussing the price of tea in China. I'm sure they will have much to dis cuss. Rest in peace, Bill.
