  October 25, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Herbert Siewert, age 64, of Medford, died on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Two Harbors.
Funeral services will be at Boldt Funeral Home, October 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Dean Rudloff, officiating.  Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Medford.
Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. October 25, 2013, at Boldt Funeral Home in Faribault and also for one hour prior to the services on October 26th.
Herb was born to the late Alvin and Ione (Westpfahl) Siewert, on May 2, 1949, in Faribault, MN. He attended Peace Lutheran School in Faribault and graduated from Medford High School. At age 16 he took over the family farm and worked the land until he died.
Herb was an avid genealogy researcher and was able to travel the world tracing his family genealogy to its roots. In his free time, he enjoyed his cats along with raising livestock and taking pictures of his many travels. He was also an enthusiastic Indy 500 fan, and he rarely missed a year sitting track-side at the big race.  He also raised hundreds of gladiolas each year and enjoyed sharing them with family, friends and neighbors.
Herb is survived by his sister, Marion Carr, and her husband, John of Two Harbors; and their two children, Heather (Dain and their son Caleb) Swanson and Brian (Carra) Carr.

Memories

Please accept my condolences on Mr. Siewert's passing. I had treated him as a prosthodontic patient at Mayo for many years and had always enjoyed visiting with him. I retired a few years ago and only learned today that he had died. He was a wonderful man, I am sure you miss him but hope you can take comfort in knowing that he had touched the lives of many.

Memories

Just heard about Herb from my brother Jeff. Went to Peace School with Herb through 8th grade and then Herb went to Medford? Often thought about Herb & his farming. Used to go with my brothers and Father to see Herb's Uncle John who just lived down the road. My wife and I live in Nisswa so it sometimes takes awhile to get Faribault news.
