Visitation: The Boldt Funeral Home- Faribault on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
   

 

          Stephen A. “Steve” Momberg, age 66, of Faribault died on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home.

          A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Faribault with the Reverend David A. Beckstrom officiating. 

          A memorial visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m.

          Stephen A., the son of S. A. and Lynne (Ballantyne) Momberg was born on August 17, 1946 in Charles City, IA.  He graduated from Mason City High School in 1964 and later Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  He married Debbie Bickford on July 1, 1967 in Clear Lake, IA.  He was formerly employed by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester; the Wilson Center of Faribault; American Income; and Platinum Services.  Steve was very active in many organizations and boards including the Faribault School Board (Past Chairman); South Central College Board (Past Chairman); the United Way of Rochester (Past Vice President) and Faribault (Past President); Eastwood and Northern Hills Golf Courses of Rochester (Past Vice President) and he was a member at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Faribault.

          He is survived by his wife, Debbie; four children, Beth (and Kevin) Fette of Faribault, Kathy Ryan of Denver, CO, Chris (and Lori) Momberg of Northfield and Rick (and Mary) Momberg of Faribault; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Nicholas and Katelyn Fette, Micah and Talia Momberg, Oliver and Hennessy Momberg; one sister, Barb (and Jim) Nervig of Waukee, IA; one niece, Margaret Nervig; one nephew, Robby Nervig.

          He was preceded in death by his parents.

I worked with Steve at the WIlson Center some years ago. I remember how he was always coming around to everyone's office to share the latest jokes. He was always there when folks needed help. He was always so very proud of his family. You are in my prayers as you deal with his loss. God bless you all.
