I would like to send my deepest sympathies to Sam's family and my huge regret for not having been able to make it back to Faribault for his service. Sam had been a friend of mine since my high school days of working at Mister Donut thirty years ago. I will miss our intellectual conversations, his incredible knowledge, and his appreciation of books, history, and my travel stories. Sam had an incredible memory! Each time I would return to Faribault and visit him, he would recall where we left off. I will greatly miss him and our visits. Sincerely, Sarah Dandelet
