Memories

We have many treasured memories of Dorothy, having known her since 1983 when Gene became Assistant Pastor of First Baptist Church, Faribault. We are truly blessed to have known her. She was a humble person who loved to give, and always with a smile. We have been blessed with not only her precious friendship through the years, but she gifted many cookies and other kitchen goodies to us through the years, even after we moved to GA! She had a deep spirit of kindness which she demonstrated often. Only Heaven knows how far-reaching her many lap quilts have been -- made with her own hands and Franklin Sewing Machine in her mobile home. She kept active -- even calling on "the elderly" regularly and very recently. God showed His gracious love to her by not letting her suffer with failing health. Her welcoming smile and faithful efforts as a greeter at First Baptist Church, Faribault, will be missed indeed. Our spirits are lifted in praise of her great God, whom she lovingly and faithfully served. As well, He gave her a great life with minimal illness and incredible energy. Our most sincere sympathies go to all of her family, neighbors, church family, and friends. Gene and Judy Matlock, Woodstock, GA
