ROBERT D. MEYER

Service: St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township
  Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
   
Visitation: The Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault
  Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Robert Meyer, age 81 of Kenyon, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Northfield Hospital, Long Term Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township, Rice County on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Lora Sturm officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Robert Duane, the son of Robert and Luella (Kuhlman) Meyer, was born August 26, 1931 in Faribault. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1949. Robert married Norma Kuhlman on August 17, 1957 in Racine, MN. Bob was a lifelong farmer and dairyman, Richland Township Treasurer for over 30 years, an insurance agent for Wheeling Mutual and served on the board of directors for North Star Creamery, Kenyon.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; four children, LaVonne (and Mark) Young of Rochester, Alan (and Sharon) Meyer of Kenyon, Cindy (and Jess) Donohoe of Luther, MT, and Gayle (and Brian) Bauer of Nerstrand; three grandchildren, Andrew (and fiancée, Samantha Wickum) Meyer, Matthew and Luke Bauer and a sister, Dolores (and Donovan) Quimby of West Concord.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin grandsons, Aaron and Aaric Meyer.
