Services Peace Lutheran Church - Faribault, Minnesota

Regis M. Peterson, age 70, of Wanamingo died on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at his home

Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl, officiating. Interment will be held at Brownsdale.

Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the services on Friday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Regis M., the son of Stanley and Myrtle D. (Larson) Peterson was born on October 6, 1941 in Austin. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1960. Regis married Sandra Sievertsen and later they were divorced. He was a farmer for many years in the Austin area; employee of Truth Hardware, Owatonna; a small business owner; newspaper delivery for Rochester Post Bulletin; and played organ in churches for a majority of his life, most recently at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault.

He is survived by his two children, Kari Peterson of Dodge Center and Neil (and Mary) Peterson of Owatonna; four grandchildren, Zachary J. Peterson, Matthew L. Peterson, Baihley K. Peterson and Ella Jane Peterson; the mother of his children, Sandra Rehse of Alma, Wisconsin; one sister, Sonja (and Roland) Clouse of Manchester, TN; and one niece, Andrea (and Eric) Scherer. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, but will be together again someday in heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

We wouild like to express our deepest sympathies to the Peterson family. Regis delivered the Post Bulletin bundles to my son who has a route. He was always on time and friendly. We enjoyed visiting with him and are saddened to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I did not know Regis personally, but he was the organist at my mom's church. She often remarked how she loved to hear him play and really make that organ sing. He had a great gift and was good to share it with others. My deepest sympathy to you all.
