Memories

I have a happy memory of Uncle Jim making one particular Brandenburg family Christmas get together alot of fun. Learning to shoot arrows outside with my counsins, Uncle Jim coaching us to aim and shoot. And many good times out at the lake in the summer. I am proud to say I have one of his bird carvings in my living room. My mom enjoyed her visits with Uncle Jim and Aunt Gloria after she moved away. Maybe the three of them are having coffee right now. My sincere condolences to all those he left behind who love him dearly.

Memories

We have so many fond memories of Grandpa Jim. We really enjoyed having coffee with him and Gloria, talking and laughing about his great stories about the things in his life that he had wonderful memories of. He was always very kind and I loved his smile. One of the memories I have of Grandpa Jim was him going fishing with my father and grandfather and Jason(his grandson) in northern Minnesota. He and my grandfather had a great bonding experience and became buddies after this fishing trip.He loved to carve and he carved the most amazing fisherman for my grandfather, who lives in Florida. My grandfather has that fisherman that Jim carved right next to his television. Every time I go to visit my grandfather, he talks about Jim and how fortunate he was to have met him and got to know him. He said that carving stays there to remind him of a favorite time in his life with a great man, Jim Burmeister. I also want to say that I loved the way he was with his great grandkids. My children and I will miss him. God bless all of the members of the Burmeister family for this loss. Jim will be missed by all.

Memories

To Don and Family, We were fortunate to have the opportunity to get to know Jim and Gloria. He was a true gentleman and was always so much fun to talk with. We have a whole set of the beautiful wooden fish that he carved. Every time I look at them I am reminded of Jim and what an artist he was. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Memories

Jim and my Dad Leonard Pommeranz were great friends for many years, and I suspect they sitting in are in Heaven right now reminding each other of all their fishing adventures together! No doubt a few "tall tales" will be included too! Jim and Gloria were fine people. My sympathy.

Memories

So sad to hear of Jim's passing. He was a fine gentleman and always enjoyed his ride down to the dock with me in the Polaris. Gave him time for a smoke. I am sure he loved his visits to Bending Lake. Condolences to Don and his family.
