Harold C. Burmeister, age 87, of Faribault, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be held in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Medford.
Visitation will be held in the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also in the church for one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
Harold, the son of Herman and Ella (Gropper) Burmeister was born on January 13, 1925 in Ottertail County. He married June Hanson on October 28, 1950 and she preceded him in death on September 13, 1973. Later he married Beatrice Stoddard and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2001. Harold farmed in rural Faribault; and he enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He is survived by four children, Charlotte (and Craig) Smith of Plymouth, Linda (and Richard) Wille of Kenyon, Carl Burmeister of Mankato and Henry Burmeister of Faribault; three step children, Stephen Stoddard of IL, Deborah (and Alan) Hempel of WI, and Walter (and Dana) Stoddard of CO; grandchildren; great grandchildren with another great grandchild expected in early January 2013; one brother, Wilmer Burmeister of Faribault; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two wives; one step daughter Linda Simmons; and one brother Edgar Burmeister.

My deepest sympathy to the whole family. My dad (Roy Bisping) was friends with Harold and we did some painting for him on the farm many years ago. Harold was a kind, friendly man. God be with you.
