Corinne V. "Chub" Bachrach, age 92, of Faribault, died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Keystone Communities of Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Corinne Vivian, the daughter of Alfred and Vivian (Larson) Frechette, was born April 9, 1920.  She married Joseph H. Bachrach in 1957 and he preceded her in death in 1986.  "Chub" graduated from beauty school in Minneapolis and worked as a beautician until she married.  She also took flying lessons during that period just to do something different.  After getting married, she was active in the Faribault Art Center, starting a children's summer art workshop.  She was also involved in Keller Club and was proud of her work with the Community Arts Builders (CAB). She enjoyed gardening and her rocks, antiquing and finding new life for old furniture.  She was known for her great smile, laugh, telling funny stories and making all who knew her a little happier.

She is survived by her two children, Joseph (and Miriam Siefer) Bachrach of Farmington Hills, MI and Nancy (and Ryan Cameron) Bachrach of St. Paul; two granddaughters, Rachel (and Aidan Wright) Bachrach and Jodi Bachrach; and one cousin, Betty Frechette of St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and two siblings, Robert and Maxine "Mickey" Frechette.

Memories

Joey and Nancy, So very sorry to hear of Chub's passing. I visited her and your Dad pretty regularly through most of my adult life, until I moved to Colorado. My fond memories of her are countless. Her unrestrained laugh and welcome greeting whenever I rang your doorbell, and insistence I come in and visit, made my growing up years so much better than they would have been. It seems that back then, when we were kids, the world was full of genuine characters, and she was certainly one. The world is a poorer place knowing she is no longer with us. You both have my immense sympathy for the loss of one who was so loved, and loving of others, and of life. Jim Fritsch, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Memories

The City of Faribault has lost one of it's finest citizens. I remember having great conversations, wherever; church, shopping, dining out, etc. And most of all the great genuine laugh that tickled us all. Great stories from her past and present. A Funny Gal to be remember by all who knew her. David Ponto

Memories

To the Bachrach Family: Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Chub was a real character and it was always “interesting” to hear what she had to say. She was one of those personalities that made a lasting impression; always funny and to the point but whatever she did say; it definitely came from the heart. I assume Joe’s life up in heaven has just got a lot more complicated.

Memories

Hello to everyone. I'm sorry to hear of Chub's passing and am sorry for your loss. As I always have remembered her, she appeared in good spirits when I saw her last 2 years ago. It's too bad that modern life separates us and tends to loosen family ties as much as it does. If not, I'm sure that Eve and I would be there for the obsevance. Until recent years, I was able to keep a little bit of contact and was always delighted to receive a response from her after she had received my Christmas card mailing from year to year. Now, she will be in greater hands and in the company of Uncle Joe, again. May God bless her. Love, Harrison.

Memories

When I started in the banking and trust business almost 35 years ago, I was counselled to avoid having a client become a friend. Impossible, with Chub. I adored her and looked forward to my visits with her and calls from her; she always made the day better. She was a wonderful woman who dearly loved her family and friends. Enjoy the many, many happy memories you have. My sincere sympathies to you on her passing. Love you, Chub!

Memories

Aunt Chub was always such fun to be around because she had such a sunny disposition and an infectious laugh and didn't take things too seriously. She was a good teacher of living happily.
