LEONA M. SILBERNAGLE
Leona M. (Mrs. John) Silbernagle, age 92 of Faribault, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Sterling House of Faribault.
Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl and the Reverend Maynard Spitzack officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.
Leona M., the daughter of Edwin and Marie (Radatz) Wegner, was born January 25, 1920 in Clements, MN. The family moved to Monticello and then North Morristown, where she attended Trinity Lutheran School and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. She married John Silbernagle on May 29, 1941 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2001. Leona was previously employed at St. Lucas Hospital, in private homes, Faribault Canning Factory and as a seamstress at Shattuck St. Mary’s for 35 years until her retirement in 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty (and Roy) Heacock of Faribault; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Silbernagle-Muller of Jacksonville, FL.; five grandchildren; many great grandchildren; four siblings, Wallace Wegner of Wichita Falls, TX, Silvia Wegner of Redmond, WA, Luella Morson of Northfield and Lois Schelp of Bellevue, WA; sisters in law, Dorothy Wegner of Watertown, WI and Marlyss Wegner of Faribault; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a son, Edwin in 1998; five brothers, Harvey, William, Warren, Wilbert and Norman Wegner; sister in law, Marge Wegner; brothers in law, Bill Morson and Don Schelp.

Dear folk's: My Mom was a Wegner ( Milda L. Wegner Mensing & also my Grandparent's Charles & Louise Wegner of Morristown... I remember some of these names and send my sympathy to all of the family. I would just like for you to tell me if we are all related and I'm sure we are & my Aunt Elsie Wegner worked at the Morristown Grocery Store and some of you may have known her..........now that I am in California we only come to Minnesota to visit & have fun seeing everyone...........thakyou very much & have a blessed day...........Arlette Hogan

I helped take care of Leona at Sterling House, and she was one of the most loving people I know. She taught me to play Eucher, and she loved putting puzzles together. She can play Eucher with Dorothy now, and continue with her puzzles. I am truly sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
