Allan M. Young, age 84, of Warsaw, died on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.

Services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Steven J. Kuehne, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, officiating. Spring interment will be held at the Warsaw Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and also on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.

Allan M., the son of Leslie and Edith (Imm) Young was born on January 13, 1926 in Warsaw Township, Rice County. He graduated from Morristown High School and served in the U. S. Navy. Allan was employed by Western Maryland Railroad until 1976. Later, he worked part time at Truckers Inn gas station of Faribault and Mystic Lake Casino until his retirement in June 2001. He loved watching the Minnesota Twins and birds; he enjoyed reading and listening to the Trinity Church radio broadcast on Sunday’s.

He is survived by his three children, Leo (and Terrie) Young of Salisbury, MD, Sharon (and James) Marsch of Baltimore, MD, and Lorraine (and Dean) Herrley of Warsaw; ten grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth (and Ron) Sherman of Osakis, Ardith (and Richard) Buan of Litchfield, and Margret (and Bev) Casselman of Missouri; two sisters in law; Sarah (and Howard) Stephans and Sue Robertson both of Maryland; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edna; his parents; two grandchildren, Travis and Jerrod Herrley; three brothers, Duane (and Lorraine) Young, Charles Young and Warren Young; one sister, Lorraine (and Steve) Kay; four sisters in law, Grace (and Harry) Schriber, Eva Hopwood and Mildred (Weslie) Ballard and Dorothia Robertson in infancy; and two brothers in law, William and Frank Robertson.
