Cecilia Loehr Koch, age 96, of Morristown and formerly of Litchfield died on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.

            Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Litchfield.

            Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, December 5, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. and also at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the services.

            Cecilia Elizabeth, the daughter of John Henry and Catherine (Theis) Neu was born on May 16, 1914 in St. Nicholas.  She married Sylvester Loehr on May 21, 1935 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1974.  They owned and operated the A & W Drive-in in Litchfield for 25 years.  Later she married Henry Koch in 1978 and he preceded her in death in 1986.  For seventeen years, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Morristown.  Cecilia had a zest for life and was devoted to her faith.  Her main passion in life was sewing, quilting being her specialty.  Known for her sweet tooth, she had a craving for chocolate.  She loved trying new recipes and playing cards, especially euchre and thirty one.  She enjoyed socializing and laughing with others, brightening a room with her smile.  Ceal had the knack for telling stories, especially detailed stories of her childhood.  She enjoyed and always looked forward to Thursday morning coffee time with her friends.  In her spare time, she loved to read, achieving her goal of reading hundred books every year.  Above all, Cecilia loved spending time with her family.  She especially loved hearing about and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandchild.   

            She is survived by one sister in law, Lorriane Neu; four children, James (and Mary Jo) Loehr of Litchfield, Bonnie Haag of Morristown, Mary Ann Sudheimer (special friend Art Bollmann) of Waconia and David (and Diane) Loehr of Phoenix, AZ; one former son in law, Stan Gunn of Waconia; 12 grandchildren, Kris (and Rick) Cawood, Molly (and Carl) Diesselman, Jenny (and Bob) Trettin, James (and Kris) Loehr, Darrell (and Kelly) Haag, Lisa (and Randy) Merritt, Jolene (and Tony) Ell, Mitchell (and Jessica) Haag, Christine (and Scott) Gerber, Kurt (and Mary) Gunn, Jonathan Loehr and Jeffrey Loehr; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

            She was preceded in death by her husbands; two son in laws, Darrell Haag and Bob Sudheimer; one grandson, Steven Haag; five brothers; two sisters; and granddaughter's husband, Duane Peterson.

            In lieu of flowers, a Catholic Education Scholarship will be established in her memory.
