Roland

Roland H. Lippert, age 86 of Faribault, died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at home.

Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl and the Reverend Maynard Spitzack officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, December 26th from 2 to 5 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Roland Herman, the son of Herman and LuLu (Piepho) Lippert, was born May 16, 1924 in Warsaw Township, Rice County, Minnesota. He married Harriet Smuda on June 7, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault. Roland previously worked at Faribault Foods, Voegel’s Creamery, and Heselton Construction all of Faribault and farmed in Warsaw Township most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet; five children, Steven (and Julie) Lippert of Faribault, Debra (and Kyle) Byrd of Roanoke, VA, David (and Joanne) Lippert of Faribault, John (and Jane) Lippert of Medford and Ann (and Mark) Drache of Faribault; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret (and LeRoy) Gare of Faribault and one brother, Richard (and Thelma) Lippert of Burnsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Brenda Voracek.

Memories

I will always remember the time when Harriet put a wax peach in Ronnies lunch box. I believe he was on his tractor when he grabbed it and attempted to take a bite out of it. Surprise! Ronnie had a good sense of humor and took that little trick in stride. He had a good heart and will be remembered for that among many other things. May God rest his soul
