Memories

What a shock ..... I have known John for many years and enjoyed talking with him when our paths crossed. He had a zest for life, a larger than life person that was a tough competitor on the softball field and a gentle giant off. I was pitching during a game and John hit a line drive that almost took my head off .. to this day the hardest hit ball I ever saw ... I caught the ball (don't know how) ... and John spent the next 2 weeks saying how sorry he was to me (he wasn't trying to go up the middle but that dang outside pitch to a big guy like John is going to come back very quickly). He put 100% into what he did ... but cared deeply for those people around him. ---- I will miss him greatly .... Chris & Dena Whillock

Memories

I met John last year as he came into our showroom and wanted to order granite for a customer. He explained he started a new company and had worked with us during his days at SM Woodcraft. I was so impressed in his confidence and willingness to learn. I was moved with sadness when I learned of his passing yesterday. I cannot imagine how big of a loss John must be to his family, friends and community. He seemed like a great guy.
