MAE (SIEMERS) RAND

Mae

        Mae (Siemers) Rand, age 85 of Faribault, died on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at District One Hospital, Faribault.

         Privates services will be held in the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault with the Reverend Joanna Mitchell, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Faribault officiating.  Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.

         Mae, the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Heckel) Brown, was born May 19, 1925 in Edgeley, ND.  She married Arthur Thompson in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1950.  She married Joseph Siemers in 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1992.  On May 5, 1993 she married Francis "Donald" Rand in Nashua, IA.  Mae was a homemaker and formerly worked for the Minneapolis Public Library.

         She is survived by her husband, Don of Faribault; two sons, Mark (and Bev) Siemers of Faribault and Scott (and Judith) Siemers of Surrey, England; two step daughters, Renee (and Bob) Paetzel of Maple Grove and Marcia (and Dave) Treadway of Aitkin; seven grandchildren, Ann, Steve, Katie, Tom, Sara, Johanna and Frederick; six step grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Josh, Joe, Scott and Shelly; and one son in law, Doug McKinnon.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Arthur and Joseph; a daughter, Nancy McKinnon; two brothers, William and Russell Brown; two sisters, Edith Lenarz and Ruth Rohrwasser.
