Memories

I was saddened to read of the passing of Dick. I worked at the Canning Factory during summer vacations in the late 60's while home from college. I remember Dick as always being very helpful, willing to show us summer help the in's and out's of the factory, and having a great sense of humor. I have many fond memories of my days and nights at the Canning Factory and Dick Niner is right there in the middle of them. I am very saddened and sorry for your loss of a very fine man.

Memories

To the Niner family, we are sorry for your loss. Not only as a great husband, father and friend, but as a great co-worker. I had the opportunity to work with Dick at Faribault Foods. He was a fork lift operator on the North dock. Every time I would back the truck up to get loaded or unloaded, he always had something to say. After a while, I called him "Boss Man". He always laughed and would say"I ain't no boss man." As time went on, was able to help provide care for Dick while working at Pleasant Manor. He always had a smile or quick comment. He is a man who will be truely missed by all who was lucky enough to know him. God's speed my friend, Boss Man.

I have a lot of great memories of Grandpa Dick. He was always talking about his family and how much he loved to be with them. I am glad that my family and I could be a part of the close family that he had. I know that he is up in heaven with my Grandpa and uncle Warren having a cup of coffee and enjoying all the great memories and happy and sad times they all had together. I am sorry for your loss, but always remember the good times you had with him. Grandma Shirley- 50 years of marriage WOW! A lot of great love and memories He will be missed!!!!!! You all are in our thoughts and prayers---Thank you for all the memories and more to come-- Always remembering the smile that he had on his face when walking in the door and he trusted me enough to cut his hair and even trim his eyebrows-- Nick, Tammy, Hunter, and Riley Williamette

Memories

Words can never say, that I am sorry for your lost. "Grandpa" Dick was such a sweet guy. I have so mnay good memories of him that I will treasure forever. One memory I have of Grandpa Dick, I went up to the nursing home and I made hime a flower arrangement and a few days later it fell and broke and he felt so bad and didn't want to tell me, cuz he thought I would get made at him, so I told him that I would never get mad at him. So I took the arrangement home and redid for him. He was so proud of the arrangement. That made me so good. I know Grandpa Dick up in heaven with his best friend Grandpa Bill having such a good ole time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Memories

To all the family, Shirley, Brian, Barb & Bryon, Brad & Becky and Scott. Keep the memories close to your heart! He meant a lot to a lot of people. I have so many memories of Dick it's hard to pick just one. I love him so much! He really meant a lot to me. The best memory is just of this last time that I saw him. Dick wanted fresh fish and I kept telling him that I would get him some. Not knowing how long it would take me. I went fishing way up north this last October and I caught so many fish that I was able to bring some back with me. Walleye for that matter. When I was putting them in the bag I said that these were going to Dick! So just over Christmas and new years my grand kids and my own kids went to visit. Unfortunately he was sleeping and we just left him sleep. So I waited till the end of the week. Then on Friday after new years Jesse and I went and he was up. He just glowed when we walked into the room! That was so great! Then when I told him that I had some fish for him that was even better. When I said that it was Walleye, he said "Oh boy really that is my favorite!" He just smiled from ear to ear. I will never forget that moment. It was the greatest. We waited till he had to go to lunch before we left. We had a very nice visit. He looked so good that day! I'm glad to have that in my memory. My sympathies Sandy
