Mammie Marie Judd Sorgatz, age 86, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Waseca on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Roger Haug officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Morristown.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Wednesday, September 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.

Mammie was born March 12, 1925 at Cleveland Township, LeSueur County, Minnesota to Eldora (Flowers) Davis & Elmo Francis Davis. She attended Cleveland School for 3 years and then attended school in Waterville MN through the 8th grade. Mammie was united in marriage to Rollin Ernest Denzer on September 23, 1942. They bore two daughters, Ruth Ann (Denzer) Ostermann and Mary Denzer. After the passing of Rollin in 1970, Mammie was united in marriage to Stephen Edward Judd, Sr. on August 18, 1973. They enjoyed 28 years of marriage together. She was a homemaker and his right hand woman and left hand heart. After the passing of Stephen in 2001, Mammie was united in marriage to Herbert E. Sorgatz on December 6, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca at the age of 78. Prior to retirement, Mammie worked outside the home at Green Giant in LeSueur and at the Foundry in LeSueur for many years as well as helped on the farm. Mammie enjoyed spending time with her many family members and friends, playing cards, baking, scrapbooking, newspaper articles, enjoyed horses, loved the company of her special dog "Cookie", enjoyed traveling on vacations with her husband Herbert and family. She had many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert E. Sorgatz of Morristown; two daughters, Ruth Ann Ostermann (and special friend Dan Tordsen) of Henderson, and Mary Louise Denzer (and Greg Scharfe) of Morristown; step-children, Al Joe Judd of Faribault, Stevie (and Judy) Judd of Morristown, Kenneth (and Bonnie) Judd of Owatonna, Theresa (and Richard) Tomhave of Fergus Falls, Bernard Judd of Minneapolis, Rosemary Bohen of St. Paul, Kevin (and Betty) Judd of Waterville, Elaine (and John) Gleason of Lapeer, MI, Nancy (and George) Champagne of Kingwood, TX, Larry (and Michelle) Sorgatz of Faribault, David (and Sue) Sorgatz of Napoleon, ND; Timothy Sorgatz (and special friend Patty Buesgens) of Waterville, Brenda (and Carl) Hardies of Imlay City, MI, Susan (and Bradley) Schuenke of Faribault, Sandra (and John) Mayzlik of Austin, Pamela (and Dennis) Bremer of Waterville; four grandchildren; 23 step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; 19 step great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Golombeski of Faribault and Virginia Beer of Cleveland; sister in law, Pauline Denzer; brother in law, Delbert (and Betty) Sorgatz; nephew, Ernest James Denzer II; sisters in law, Jeanne Judd and Stella Judd.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two spouses; a grandson, Richard Ostermann; two sisters, Shirley Schwartz and Catherine Schwartz; a brother, Ervin (and Ruth) Davis; a sister in law, Ruth Villwock; and a brother in law, Ernest Denzer, Sr.
