Memories

When I worked at Sterling House I helped take care of Dorothy, even though she was very independent. I remember how she loved activities. Especially playing Euchre with her friends, and she even taught me the game. She was a big winner in Bingo, and would sometimes not call bingo, because she didn't want to deprive others of winning. She had a heart of gold. If Dorothy wasn't in her room, she was most likely putting a puzzle together with her friend Leona. Together they pieced together masterpieces. Dorothy enjoyed "Flexercise" and was very active with the fun part of exercising. When coming to visit her after I left Sterling House, I would always get a big smile of surprise, and a hug that wouldn't stop. I will miss her.

Memories

Dorothy was a very wonderful and special Lady. My Mother (Leona Silbernagle) formed a wonderful bond at the Sterling House with her. They enjoyed playing cards and putting many a puzzle together and just visiting with one another. Dorothy was always very concerned about everyone and will be truly missed.
