Gladys A. Benway, age 84, of Morristown and formerly of Faribault, died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Plum House, Morristown.
Funeral services will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Morristown, on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Eugene C. Chase, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Morristown.
Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. and also in the church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Gladys A., the daughter of Claude and Myrtle (Creasey) Tennant, was born on July 13, 1927 in Spring Green, WI. Gladys graduated from Spring Green High School and was employed most of her life as a waitress with her last employment with C. J.ís Restaurant in Faribault.
She is survived by four children, Glen (and Debby) Benway of Faribault, Willard Benway, Sr. of Red Wing, Gary Benway of Faribault and Delia (and Sherif) Hamed of Faribault; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dale; and one brother, Laverne Tennant.

I used to work at The Plum House. I will never forget Gladys' sense of humor. Nor will I forget kissing her goodnight and telling her I love her. She holds a very special place in my heart and will always be remembered. My thoughts are with the family.
