Duane A. Bahl, age 52, of Owatonna and formerly of Faribault died on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Homestead Hospice House of Owatonna.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault with the Reverend Steven J. Kuehne, officiating. Interment will be held at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Duane, the son of Cecil H. and Verna M. (Hegland) Bahl was born on November 12, 1958 in Faribault. He attended Faribault Senior High School and owned and operated Duane's Painting Service.

He is survived by his daughter, Liza Harwood of Rockford, IA; two grandchildren, Hannah and Eli Harwood; his parents, Cecil and Verna Bahl of Faribault; four siblings, Douglas (and Sue) Bahl of St. Paul, Julie Bahl of Toledo, IA, Dr. David (and Ann Marie) Bahl of Red Wing and Daniel Bahl of Faribault; four nieces; and two nephews.

We are so sorry to hear of the death of Duane. Your in our thoughts and prayers. We were very good friends of Duane. We used to hang out with him. The memories we have of him were him always joking around, watching pro wrestling, going to the state fair with friends named David Quam and Darlene Wilson and others. He will be well missed by a lot of his friends and family. He is now healed and is in a better place. My he rest in peace. rest in peace duane we hung out a many times with the old faribault gang i move away and lost touch with you and alot of old friends have not saw you in about 25 years i asked about you a few times but no one seem to know where you were at wished we could have gotten together before the lord called u home he will look over you rest in peace in heaven duane

I'll never forget what a tender soul Duane had. Such a social guy with a warm heart. I am sad he is gone, but know he is in a better place where he is surrounded by Love. Looks like he was right when he said God told him he was dying. It brings a lot of peace knowing God spoke to him and he was able to tell his family that. What a special man who will be missed! Blessings to the entire family.
