Mardella (Mrs. Raymond) Stam, age 83 formerly of Faribault, died on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Kenyon Sunset Home.
Funeral services will be held at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Richard L. Jorgensen officiating. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Monday, April 4th from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Mardella, the daughter of Otto and Minnie (Siehndel) Hagel, was born October 14, 1927 in North Morristown. She married Raymond G. Stam on March 4, 1946 in Faribault and he preceded her in death on April 19, 1988. Early in life, she worked at Swift and Co. and J.C. Penney both of Faribault. She then worked at Nelsonís in Faribault for 40 years prior to retirement. Mardella was a member of the Marine Corp League and helped with Toys for Tots for many years. She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Faribault.
She is survived by three children, Rev. Bruce (and Connie) Stam of Lake City, Curtis (and Anita) Stam of Arlington, TX and RoxAnn (and Duane) Lunde of Wanamingo; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond and a brother, Nilan Hagel, Sr.
